Description
This 4-day retreat, taking place in the gorgeous Calca, Cusco, Peru, is a journey for those of all levels and looking to master plant medicines. With this retreat comes a deep reconnection with the ancient memories, as many of these Inca locations retain strong electromagnetic fields. As you take pilgrimage through the QAPAQ ÑAÑ, or the Golden Path, you'll be transported through the veins of the Mother Earth on its lay lines. These pathways were much beloved by Inca royalty, and considered by the Huakas to be sacred and full of power. With every ceremony taking place in each portal, a greater sense of awareness will be achieved.
The journey begins with a visit to Nustapata, a seemingly simple stone arch that may be the remains of an ancient tomb. This sacred location served to guard ceremonies, and it is believed that during the time of the Incas, the entrance to the arch was sealed with a wooden door. It still remains open to visitors though, its magical energy and potential for spiritual insight resonating in the air. As you draw energy from this place, you'll then make the trek to the ancient Inca cave, where you'll use the footsteps of those who've gone before to connect with the power there and gain insight and a conncection with the spirit animals of Peru.
The journey continues on, as you make your way to portals such as Pukara, where you can draw from the spiritual energy of this ancient site, formed from ancient terraces and adorned with a sculpture of a majestic condor, the highest form of animal life known to the Incas. Here, you'll pass through several layers of energy and receive guidance from the sacred condor. Alongside this, you’ll explore sacred Apus, mountains that filter in their own spiritual energy, allowing you to experience the Atakpana, the power that lies in the teachings and traditions of this land.
As your pilgrimage ends, you'll explore the incredible Museum of Inca Religion and gain a true understanding of ancient Inca religion and spirituality. From here, you'll depart with an even greater sense of awareness and knowledge of plant medicines, having experienced a deeper form of understanding that would be hard to come by anywhere else.
